portrait – Steve Jester of public barber

A few weeks ago, I spent a morning helping a friend document his carpentry work for his portfolio. It turned out to be a very interesting morning.  Just a year into living in San Francisco, and there is much to discover.  The last stop on our urban odyssey was Public Barber Salon.

It is quite a space, with an unusual mix of repurposed materials and  the wall facing the row of chairs is completely dedicated to showcasing local artists.

Since I had my camera just in my hand, I asked the Steve if he would mind if I took his portrait.
