Wedding | Artists for Humanity Boston | E & L

Some more, please?

You got it.

Friday night wedding. Urbane elegance.

E and L met me in the late afternoon to indulge in a pre-ceremony portrait session.  The ICA, waterfront and a little avenue of surprisingly clean bricks and loading docks behind A Street lent us a beautiful urban Boston backdrop.

The ground floor of the Artists for Humanity was transformed with a suspended ceiling of  paper lanterns hung over the black and white embroidered table cloths.  Led by the rabbi, the congregation sang the brides into the ceremony.  Under the chuppah at the far end of the space E & L were witnessed by their families and friends as they signed the ketubah and said their vows.

L’s dry humor leaves me in equal parts amused and puzzled. Her snark extended into charming asides during the ceremony. After dinner it was a quick horah and onto the dance party.

Many congratulations to you both!

Quiet moment with the city in the background

Just the right amount of wind to add movement to the hair and dresses. Thanks, Universe.

And L changes into her regular clothes (plus one tuxedo t-shirt) before the last dance.

a little more – Wedding | Artists for Humanity Boston | E & L

Just in case I can’t post more before I head over to another wedding in Fort Worth tomorrow, here’s one of my favorites from last Saturday’s wedding.

An image from Friday evening’s beautiful wedding that makes me giggle:

Wedding | Butterfly Place in Westford | V & F

It was the perfect way to announce the beginning of spring.  Last Saturday the 2010 Ars Magna wedding season kicked off with a gorgeous little wedding at The Butterfly Place in Westford.  Congratulations, V & F!

Album | A & J’s Sonoma Vineyard Wedding

This wedding was amazing, and the album a lot of fun to design.  A horizontal 7×10 Image Book:

Album | C & S San Francisco Wedding

Still getting through all my California wedding from last year before we relocated to Boston. This is an 8×12 vertical heirloom album covered in gray and black silk.

Again with the hot end paper. . .

I love the design of this spread.  The municipal clock, the digital numbers, the wait.

The stunning SF City Hall.

Album | T & R | Santa Cruz

A 8×8 black silk heirloom album (hand crafted by me!)

Using the grain in two directions here, against the spine of the album.

Inspired by Loubouton, I have been using a bright red silk for the end papers.

A page spread – the bride meditating before the ceremony.

Another page spread, with foliage of the canopy of redwoods.

Album | J & J Bay Area Wedding

An 8×12 horizontal Heirloom Album

Covered in a black silk with silver embossing.

An 8×12 horizontal album opens to 8×24 – a cool and intense panorama.

Here you can see the texture of the black silk a little better. A little bit rough. A little bit smooth.

The gorgeous dinning room at the SF Ritz.

And yet another album! This is an Image Book – which is produced differently that the Heirloom Album.

The Image Book in its’ black slipcase, and the Ars Magna twill tape.

Slip case, Image Book and book jacket.

A extremely elegant cake for an extremely elegant wedding

Album | D & G’s LA Wedding

Loved this wedding – and I loved this album.

Black leather cover, with a flat spine.
